“Do you do couples’ massage?”

The other day a client who was picking up a gift certificate asked if we do couples’ massage.

Chris and I looked at each other to see which of us would say what we said before moving to Montpelier. We used to say, “We can see a couple at the same time in separate treatment rooms.”

Then my brain shifted. I said to Chris, “You’ve got plenty of space in your new treatment room for two tables.”

The client, Chris and I walked into Chris’s room. The client said, “This is perfect!”

Our answer has changed.
